Hi! I'm Omkar, a student at Carnegie Mellon's School of Computer Science.

I'm a Computer Science major at CMU graduating in 2022. Before enrolling at CMU, I grew up in Northern VA and went to Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. I've been passionate about Computer Science since 9th grade, when I took the Foundations of CS class as well as joined the cybersecurity club. My main interests in the field of CS are in computer systems and cybersecurity, with machine learning following close behind.

Outside of Computer Science, I've been playing soccer for 14 years. I also recently joined the Bollywood Fusion dance team at CMU. I love the team's culture as well as dancing and improving day-by-day. Another unique CMU tradition I wanted to be a part of was Sweepstakes, so I joined Apex Buggy, a buggy team that builds and races a small carbon-fiber vehicle in the yearly competition at CMU's carnival.

Additionally, one of my favorite things to do is try new restaurants, so if you have any recommendations, especially in Pittsburgh or Northern VA, please let me know.
